Frequently asked questions
Is Lok Adalat free?
Yes. Lok Adalat is run by Legal Services Authorities and is free. You can register yourself on official portals. We help people who don't have the time or find the process confusing, and charge only for our service.
Can every challan be settled at Lok Adalat?
No. Usually only compoundable or minor offences are taken up. Serious offences such as drunk driving, accidents causing injury or death, or cases pending in other courts are generally excluded. We check this before you pay.
How much will my fine be reduced?
The Lok Adalat decides the amount. It is often reduced and sometimes waived, but no one can guarantee a reduction.
Who do I pay the fine to?
Only to the government, through official channels. Our service fee is paid separately to AdalatSaathi with a GST invoice. We never collect the fine.
Do I have to go to court?
It depends on the city. Delhi has a digital process; in some places you or your representative must appear on the Lok Adalat date. We tell you exactly what is needed.
What documents do you need?
Usually only your vehicle number, challan number and mobile number. Sometimes a copy of the RC or driving licence. We never ask for your Aadhaar number.
What is your fee?
Our service fee is ₹299 + 18% GST (₹352.82). You pay only after we confirm eligibility. Drafting, court and business services start at ₹299 + GST, and we share a written quote before any work. Fleets and businesses get bulk pricing. The challan fine is always paid separately to the government.
What if my registration fails?
If we cannot complete your registration because of our fault, you get a full refund of our fee within 7 working days.
When is the next National Lok Adalat?
National Lok Adalats are held four times a year across India. The date is shown at the top of every page; we update it as soon as it is announced.
Is my data safe?
Your data is encrypted, used only for your case and deleted after your case closes, as required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
